My task............

Go to your photos folder in your computer.
Go to the 6th folder of photos.
Go to the 6th picture in that folder.
Put the picture on your blog and description of it.
Invite six friends to join the challenge.
Link them in your blog and let them know they have been challenged.

Hahahahahaha! My HDD is unrecoverable. So I can't retrieve photos from them. But I still have my old Photobucket account. I'll be using that instead.

OMG! This is a really old photo of Netcare in the Golden Age. It's during Che' We's (Wan Masrul a.k.a the handsome guy wearing a tie in the middle) farewell party at Level 5, Menara Celcom. He was the senior agent who buddy-ed me when I first got in. Funny guy. You should hear him cussing customers in English-Kelantan-ese when he's pissed hahahahaha.

Tagging... YOU! And the next 5 people after you.

Site Announcement

Since my last update using the built-in feature in my Sony Ericson K810i, somehow or someway, it has messed up the codes on my Blogger. Apparently, posts have just decided to eat itself and gone to poo-poo heaven.

I'm trying out XML layouts this time around, just because I'm a lazy ass and hate adding codes manually into the HTML codes in classic layout. Plus, I'm missing out on some cool widgets that are only available for XML layouts.

However, XML layouts and me don't have such a good history together. I just dislike the fact that customization is limited and erm, I'm not really keen on writing it up from sratch, even if I was that fluent with the codes. So this is what is gonna happen.. I'll keep on looking for an XML layout that suits me. In failing that, I'm going back to good 'ol HTML. The blog might be intermittent during this difficult time.

Thanks for being patient!

Posting this using mobile broadband n my sek810. Took putra lrt coz car in workshop. Already arrived at tmn jaya station n was walking to office. My glasses kept slipping so i took em off to fix it.

The frame suddenly bent in a bad way n 1 of the lenses fell and splattered over the sidewalk! I had to call my trainer n tell him i was gonna be late to replace my glasses. I then stumbled half blind to starbucks in amcorp to wait for baybe to pick me up.

I am in such a bad mood right now. I think i might have to replace the frame too. Fuck positive thinking! Kill, fluffy. Kill!

My American Idol favourites: Top 36 Part I

>> Thursday, February 19, 2009

Well, it's that time again. American Idol fever. I persevered through the audition weeks and now, this is where is gets good. Well, not really. But it's getting there.

This year, they're going for top 36. Whoah! That's a lot of filtering before getting to the top 10, or 12, whatever. Despite my, understandably, dark mood yesterday evening, I still tuned in to watch AI. Besides, I knew Danny Gokey was going to sing in the episode and I didn't want to miss it. BTW, I cheated a bit coz I already read a few live blogging sites and pretty much knew what to expect, but hey!

When I found out he was going to sing Hero by Mariah Carey, I admit I was a bit skeptical. And the whole positive, inspiring people thing? That will get old with me pretty fast, realist that I am. As long as he keeps his mouth shut, except when he's singing of course, he has my vote!

But, damn, can that man sing!

Another guy I'm rooting for is Anoop Desai, or as he is affectionately referred to as nowadays, Anoop Dog! Erm, not terribly clever, I know. Hey, I didn't come up with it, I swear!

Love the shorts and sandals, dude. I mean, man-dals.

And who knows? Maybe Hollywood is really on a Bollywood vibe, and he might even win AI this year!

100th post anniversary!!! a.k.a. My total D.B. moment

Yeay! This is my 100th post. Phew, it took a while to get here. I need to post more regularly.

Unfortunately, this post is not gonna be on any happy event. *SOB!*

Yesterday, the roads weren't so badly congested so I got home a little after 7pm. Now, my house is situated right along a main road. There's usually a lot of traffic there most of the time, especially during peak hours, which was co-incidentally the time I reached home yesterday. Normally, I have to park my car in front of the house for 30 seconds while I rush to open the gates and then get back into the car to drive my car into the porch. Sometimes stupid cars honk me because my car would be blocking traffic (to which I just give them the finger), but whatever.

I had already parked my car and was opening the gates. Then, I got back behind the wheels to drive. I have no clue how the rest happened. My only explanation is that I was having a D.B. (dumb blonde) moment. As my car entered the driveway, I heard a sound and felt my car jerk. Apparently I was too close to the gate post and my car was pinned against it.

Oh crap. At that moment I thought, there's gonna be a dent or scarth there for sure. I tried to go into reverse. Now, bear in mind that there is a traffic jam in front of my house so I had to be careful to reverse my car. I tapped the fuel pedal but my car wouldn't budge. I was stuck!

Nobody was home at the time. I was starting to panic. I tried to move forward, the car moved but it was still pinned against the gate post. I tried to reverse again but that wouldn't happen. So I took a deep breath.. shifted gear to Drive and pressed fuel pedal.

The metal scrucnhing sound was so loud, I swear I'll have nightmare for weeks. Later, my neighbour found me just standing by the side of my car, shaking and on the verge of tears. He said it's not so bad and can get good price at his friend's workshop. Rrrrright. But he knows my dad and all, so I guess I can trust him.

*UPDATE** Baybe just called from the workshop. RM780 inlcuding the bumper that was totaleld in the long, long time ago accident in Bandar Tasik Selatan. That's OK right? I think. Whatever. It'll be finished by Saturday afternoon. I hope we can still make it to PD in time.

Mama said that I should sabar as this a sign that there will be good things to come. I suppose sh'es right. Instead of thinking, ".. how con my life get more messed up than this?", I should be grateful. I mean, hey! It could be worse. Believe me. It can always get worse.

So here's to positive thinking eh?

No0b Alert!

>> Monday, February 16, 2009

Waddya know? It's already my second week here at PA. Everyday is training, training, training. A bit scary coz there is just so much to learn. Who knew that antivirus-es have so much to learn or configure? My motto has always been...

... if you can't remove it, it's time to format your hard drive.

Puh-leaze. If you are a typical Malaysia, this would be your solution too. My poor trainer would bang his head against the projector if I just gave this advice to my customers ^_^

Speaking of my trainer, whose name I can barely spell let alone pronounce, but for convenience sake, let's call him Mr V. He's from the client company itself, thus he's actually from Czech. Pretty young guy, but too bad ladies, he's already wearing a ring on his ring finger. He's pretty okay knowledge wise but there is quite a bit lost in translation there.

You know the 2 Scandinavian looking male aliens in Dude, Where's My Car? Erm well, that's how he talks. I mean, I don't have a thing against Europeans or anything! It's just that I haven't met too many of them and the accent is just so... distracting. Sometimes during training, I swear I see his mouth move and hear words coming out of it, but f*** if I know what the h*** he's trying to say. Sorry ah, Mr V! Bukan salah ibu mengandung, OK?

"Stupid, llamas!"

Will post pictures. Nothing much to see. Building is pretty 70's by design and it's situated right on Shell petrol station. Like Mr K, another trainer said, in case of fire, we're all toast. Literally. Supposed to be doing some exercises right now but I've already finished and am bored. 10 more minutes before going back to face 2 hours of traffic jam to get home. Fun!
