Mama's poor sweetie...

I had to take Emergency Leave yesterday coz my poor darling was sick. She's been sick since Sunday and because our normal doctor wasn't around on Sunday, had to take her to my hubby's panel. On Monday, she was still sick and throwing up and stuff but I had to send her to the nursery anyway. I already took 4 MCs maaaa. Cannot-lah be so dodgy. On Monday morning, I opened my email and saw that I got my confirmation email. Alhamdulillah.

But bad news outweighed the good. About 3.30pm the people from the nursery called and said my little girl has been throwing up since morning. I wanted to go home and pick her up but already got 3 people on EL and 2 more on AL, so already understaffed. So I just stayed and answer call as best as I could, all the while thinking bout Syakirah. Not even watching Friends online can get me from worrying all the time.

Yesterday, she still had fever and cough. Hubby and me had to stay up with her almost all night. Cannot tahan like this. We took her to Dr Ahmad,
our usual doctor, as soon as we can pry our eyes open wide enough. He is such a good doctor and his medicine always works. He checked her and said that her chest was wheezing so had to go on the Nebulyzer gas machine thing. But, she doesn't have asthma... yet. She fell asleep not long after that. Either because she was feeling more comfortable or because she was tired of all the screaming and crying when she was on the machine. It broke my heart to see her like that. I'm such a big ball of mush when it comes to my daughter.

She was a bit better when I dropped her off this morning, still fast asleep. I hope she'll get better soon. I miss her :`(

Some recent photos to look at while at work...

Ai-yok! Damn the coffee making machine in the pantry. I made a cup of Milo earlier and just used one of the paper cups there, coz you know, the drink the machine makes is in pretty small portions and I didn't to have to wash my mug for like, 3ml of beverage, but I digress. Anyways, it was almost the end of my 15 minutes break and the drink was still in no condition for any normal human being to sip it, it was still so damn hot! I thought to myself, I'll just drink one little sip and get back to work but alas! The cup was too hot for me to hold and disaster struck.

Said offending Milo cup in the trash. I didn't want to get any closer to it to take a photo. Too much trauma.

I think I have first degree burns or something. Ouch!

Mad World by Gary Jules

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles

It's a very, very mad world mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very mad world ... world

This is such a sad and inspiring video. Everytime I see it, I get goosebumps and a lump at the back of my throat. Sometimes when you have a dream, it is worth chasing after it even if the price for it is too high. *SOB*

When you can live forever
What do you live for?

I've seen icons of Twilight a lot recently so I Google-d it just to see what the fuss was about. So it seems that it's a movie adapted from a book series. After going through Wikipedia, I have since dubbed it Anne Rice Jr. I know that might seem a bit unfair to its loyal fans, but I have yet to be converted... yet! Into a fan, I mean. Not a vampire. Which is what the whole thing is about. Except that the vampire is 17 years old and goes to high school. Don't ask. I don't know.

I'm slightly intrigued to pick up a copy of the book before watching the movie. It could turn out to be another tacky teen movie like The Covenant, which in its defense has some pretty male witches to look at but zero on originality and plot. Or it could turn out into another Queen of The Damned with Stuart Townsende as the deliciously evil Lestat. Hmmm. I'll do a bit more search to see if the book is worth my money. I have a nagging feeling that it might turn like a Sweet Valley version of vampires, but hey, I could be wrong.

*whine*

Why can't I write a novel and make millions too? I'm gonna start as soon as I get home! An take a shower. And have dinner. And spend time with my little girl. And erm.. That bit is private muahahahaha!

Finally finished watching Sex and the City The Movie. Even kantoi yesterday with a male neighbor *ahem* during a sex scene. Ai-yak! What to do? Is is called Sex and the City hehehe. I am now trying to watch the oil debate between Anwar Imrahim and Ahmad Shabery. For those who missed parts of it, or the whole debate itself, here's the link. Gonna try to watch it today, if there's time, and will post thoughts on it later.

Oh, and I had a strange dream last night. I dreamt that I was at Sue Kiwi's wedding. She was wearing all green like Saradiana on her wedding. Weird. Or is it a premonition of things to come? Sue... is there something you wanna share? ^_^

2 new Sim 2 objects pack!

>> Tuesday, July 15, 2008

I bought 2 new original objects packs for Sims 2 on Sunday, yeay! I got the H&M Fashion Stuff Pack and the Ikea Stuff Pack. I wanted to have more clothes for my Sims without having to download user created ones one at a time from websites like TheSimsRecourse.com. It's all the meshes that I have to find and install separately and sometimes the creators don't label it properly that it's only compatible with expansion pack Sims University a
nd such. I'm already up to generation 3 on my Legacy Challenge, so I really don't wanna mess it up this time. Again. And the Ikea Stuff Pack! *happy sigh*

I always liked walking around in Ikea at Ikano Power Centre. They have such inspiring displays. And now I can decorate my Sim homes all I like at an unlimited budget! *psssst 'motherlode'* I love cheats! LOL

Oh, and did I mention that there's also like a buy 2 free 1 deal? Like, I bought 2 things for Sims 2, and I can register and get a third objects pack? Yeay! The options available are for the older objects packs like Family Fun Stuff and Glamour Lifestyle Stuff that I've looked all over ebay for too. I totally need to register soon and get my free gift ^_^

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008)

Went to see Hellboy on Sunday. Woops! Cannot say the "H***" word. Scratch that. We'll take it from the top.

Went to see the second installment of Super Sapiens on Sunday at GSC Mid Valley. Dropped off my darling little girl at her grandma's first. Ayah and Mama need to have some quality time too hehehe. We didn't book any tickets coz we weren't sure we wanted to go. So when we got there, the line was all the way to the popcorn stand! But okay, whatever-la
h. We were already there and it's so hard for us to find time to go out alone like this, so we just queued up. We got tickets to the 4.30pm show which was still shown as Available on the screens. If that's true, how come we were on the 3rd row from the screen? I hate to ask what the seating is like for the 3.20pm show that was already marked as Selling Fast. Had some time to kill so went makan-makan first.

I wasn't a big fan of the first movie, so I wasn't all that hyped to see this one initially. Then I found out that it's the same director as Pan's Labyrinth, yeay! All in all, my absolute favourite part was in the beginning of the movie where it was very Tim Burton like, with all the puppet like figures in Hellboy's imagination when his father told him the story. Oh, and the second best bit? The Elvish prince of course!

Yes, Prince Nuada can't hold a candle to Legolas, but you have to admit he's way macho one! What is it about fair and powerful immortals? Kinda like Anne Rice's version of the undead. So damn sexy! Yummy yummy.

The ending sucked a bit. I mean, you'd think that the so-called indestructible Golden Army would have more role to play other than being a cheap imitation of Transformers but maybe they ran out of budget or something. Oh, and and the highlight of the outing coming up in the next post. Go me!

I Kissed A Girl - Katy Perry

This was never the way I planned
Not my intention
I got so brave, drink in hand
Lost my discretion
It's not what, I'm used to
Just wanna try you on
I'm curious for you
Caught my attention

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

No, I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter
You're my experimental game
Just human nature
It's not what, good girls do
Not how they should behave
My head gets so confused
Hard to obey

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

Us girls we are so magical
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

Byxura is a bad, bad girl :P

She told me got kerja kosong back in Celcom, well, Netcare, to be precise and now I can't stop thinking 'bout going back. I really miss my friends and the environment there. I mean, it's nice here. Can watch movies online, update blog all day... But it's just not the same. Yes, towards the end Netcare was becoming a bit of hell, and my God the politics was like heck, but it's home y'know? Plus, even though our super fantastic boss Lita is no longer around, we still have the otai En. Azham and En. Shahir. And the almost-otai En. Farez and of course my old Team Leader Mr. Law who gave such glowing praise during reference phone checking that I got this job here! Oh, and erm, two others as well. I forgot their names mwahahahaha! Besides, I heard rumours that HP discontinued their Asia contract. Maybe we can boss Lita back too, yeay!

2 things. I want the position to be permanent and on office hours. Can or not?
