TAGGED: Honest Scrap Award

>> Wednesday, December 24, 2008

I've been tagged with the Honest Scrap Award by Sheri. Thanks, doll. I'm still a little drugged *read previous post* so this is gonna innnn-teresting mwahahahaha!

So, what does this award mean? It means – “leftovers, fragments, discarded material, and many times truth and honesty is discarded material, considered fragments and left over.” We tell it like it is and let the scraps fall where they may.

The honorees are to: a) first list 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep! B) pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

  1. I don't always tell the truth. I don't really lie, but if I feel that the other party can't handle the truth, I'll just zip it. Why bother? They can thank me later when they're not offended by what I didn't say [O_o]
  2. I hate dentists. They keep telling you to be calm and this procedure is not going to hurt a bit, just going to be a little uncomfortable. You lying m*****f*****s!!!
  3. I'm really mean when I'm in pain (as you can tell by No. 2 on the list)
  4. I kinda liked Titanic the first time I watched it. But after hearing My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion for the 40th time, I swore I would never admit to liking the movie. Until now.
  5. Bald men scare me. Sorry, Vin Diesel!
  6. I like to think that I'm pretty good at reading people. 80% of the time, I'm right .
  7. I suck at whodunnit movies. I never even come close! In that John Cusack movie, Identity? I thought it was the spirits of dead native tribes! My husband got that one right on the first try. No fair!
  8. I will always miss my friends in Netcare :`(
  9. If I could have 1 super power, I want to be invisible. Think of all the fun I could have! Sneak into movie theaters, follow people around all day and see what they're up to, go to MHP Mid Valley and read all the books I want... Fun!!
  10. I've always wanted to be a vampire. Like the ones from Anne Rice's novels, thank you very much. Who doesn't want to be beautiful, powerful and immortal? Oooh, and I get to bite people too, yeay!
There you go. I shall dub this random episode, honesty caused by taking too much painkillers due to having your wisdom tooth removed. I would like to read more insane, I mean honest, ramblings by

Arrrgh! The pain! Part II

Had my tooth pulled out on Monday, against my better judgement too I might add. Been having toothache for over a week. But being dentist-a-phobia that I am, I postponed it as long as I could. After a really bad day with it, I faltered and agreed to setup an appointment with the dreaded Dentist.

I know my fears are irrational. I mean, it's better to just get it over and done with rather than to prolong the inevitable, right? Teeth just don't get better on their own. But I. Just. can't. Help. It! I not just dread going to the dentist, I fear it. As in tight stomach, nausea, hyper-ventilate kind of deal.

In the end, I had 1.5 teeth pulled out. One is a stump of a tooth, and the other is my upper right wisdom tooth. The dentist probably figured, 'Hey, she's already drugged up now. Might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone', the heartless bastard.

I'm feeling alittle woozy right now 'cause I've just taken painkillers. Man, this is some good s***. I feel kinda good actually. Wheeeee!

Pikom PC Fair (12 - 14 December 2008)

>> Monday, December 15, 2008

Went to PC Fair on Saturday and Sunday. First, to help my dad buy a laptop for my brother and yesterday to buy Microsoft Office Home and Student (ori lorrrr! no pirated softwares at PC Fair). I am so proud of myself. This is the first time I have purchased original Operating System and Office product, but not the first time buying original software. That honor goes to my beloved Sims2.

I recommended my dad an Acer laptop, I'm not sure of the model. But I know that most IT people know which one I'm talking about.

Retail Price: RM1899
Original OS: Linux (upgraded to Vista Home Basic oem)
Hardware specifications:
  • AMD Turion 2.1 GHz
  • Hard disc space 160GB
  • RAM 1Gb (upgraded to 3Gb)
  • Graphic Card NVidia GeForce 9100 256MB
  • etc
After setting up the computer for my little brother that night (I disabled all gaming options for him mwahahahaha!), my dad thought better get some MS Office installed as well, but cannot use pirated one-mah, cause original OS. So I advised my dad to get Office Home and Student 2007 which they were selling dirt cheap for a mere RM209 (I get better price, RM199, of course!) at PC Fair. My dad OK-ed it, so I went back there on Sunday to buy it.

Wah-lau! All parking full! People were crowding like there's no tomorrow. Some are trying to get better bargains, which is understandable if they're no PC novice, but some are there with the whole family as if makan angin. WTF? In that crowd? Erm, maybe Malaysians need to get a better national past time or something.

Hmmm. I want a new hard disc - huwaaa!! Nowadays, they're even selling ones that are 1Tb (tera byte) as in 10 *100Gb. Erm, maybe I don't need that much space. I could have 10 partitions with 100Gb for each on that HDD but why..? 1,000,000,000,000 bytes? I wouldn't even know what to install/store on it.

Oh, yes. Saw Mama Girl-girl. She was buying a laptop as well. For me, I think I'll stick to clone PCs. Much easier to troubleshoot when it crashes. Let's face it, with me as the user of the computer, how can it not crash?

p.s. major announcement soon, maybe. Nothing is official so... we'll see.

Cameron Highlands photos!

>> Thursday, December 4, 2008

Woops! It took me a while to upload these. I had to catch up on my Heroes, Gossip Girl and 90210, thank you very much. Plus erm, I need to prepare myself for something that came up while I was still on holidays *winkwinknudgenudge* I don't know! I'm just so confused!! Erm, there is a Malay saying that says don't count the eggs until it's hatched? Or don't count the chickens until they're hatched? (How did I ever pass my BM paper for SPM?? *rolleyes*) I'll get to that later when it's more settled.

Some photos had to be censored due to somewhat controversial content mwahahaha!!
