Finally! I haven't been able to log on to the internet for days. WTF??? I'm paying RM90 a month for this crappy service. What BS. At first I thought, "What the heck, just give 'em some face lorrr" but this is ridiculous. It's a little over 9:00pm here so I'm a little surprised I was able to log on at all but I'm not holding my breath this is gonna a norm...

I have Wireless Internet Broadband at last!

>> Friday, April 11, 2008

I've just signed up for the unlimited package with my telecommunication provider yesterday - hooray! Erm, so far I haven't tried to login during peak hours i.e. 9:30pm and above so I'm pretty satisfied at the moment. I'm using my trusty ol' Sony Ericson K810i as a modem to dial up to the internet so I can only get up to 384kbps - boo! But I'll try with my husband's Motorola V6 later since its HSDPA enabled. We'll see if I can get anywhere near 3.6Mbps LOL

I have resigned my post as a technical helpdesk at a local telco over a week ago and next week I'll be starting work as first level technician for an Autralian based company located along Jalan Raja Chulan. I'm so excited! First of all, it's a permanent position so no more permanent contract, thanks very much. It still has shifts as early as 5am (!) but the last shift ends at 6:30pm and I have the weekends off. Perfect! The general gross income I'm getting over at my old workplace is slightly better but the perks my current employers is definitely better. The downside to all of this is... I miss my friends.

We've been through a lot. I've been there for 3 years - wow, has it really been that long? I've known some of them from before I got married and came to my wedding, was with me when I first found out I was pregnant and cried with me after my miscarriage. Then came my tumultuous second pregnancy and the birth of my little baby girl. Working as a team in a stressful environment like ours, we've formed a bond that makes us feel like family. Whereever I go, I know I will always think of my family in Netcare. Working there has shaped me into what I am today but it's time for me to spread my wings and soar, especially because now I have another family to think about - my own.

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

. . .

Every place I go, I think of you
Every song I sing, I sing for you

" You can take me out of Netcare, but you can never take Netcare out of me"
